SASBMB MEMBERSHIP

SASBMB is a non-profit organisation and membership fees contribute solely to maintaining the society.

The benefits of membership include:

• Invitation to our biennial conferences
• Inclusion in our distribution list for conference and science career opportunities as well as available Masters, PhD and post-doctoral positions

We recognise that students are in a different financial position than other professionals and have a reduced membership fee to accommodate them. Student membership comes with full privileges and additionally requires:

Proof of enrolment in a South African higher education institution i.e. a valid student number

Please note that SASBMB is not a professional society, is not SAQA accredited, and does not vet the qualifications of its members. A Membership letter can therefore not be used in support of an application for a South African visa by the member.
